Statement to students/Parents or guardians:
WELCOME!
Several years ago, my sons and I decided to venture out and invest in a project where we could help others along with investing in a project we could work on together. The result is College Point West. It has been an adventure but over the past few years we have worked out the kinks and strive each year to make it better for students. We are not perfect, and we do make mistakes, but we try real hard to make life pleasant for students. We strive to create an environment where students can learn in a safe and secure facility while being just across the street from Wallace College. We have what we call a Dorm Mom that visits each room and each student to make sure all needs are met with room maintenance etc. We hope this gives parents a since of safety and well-being and that their young adult as chosen a great place to attend college like Wallace College. Semester Cost
SEMESTER COST – DEPOSIT
Per Student – $350
SEMESTER COST – RENT
Per student – $2200
DEPOSIT IS PAID TO SECURE THE UNIT. ALL UNITS ARE SHARED WITH NO MORE THAN TWO STUDENTS PER ROOM
(ANNUAL COST – 2 SEMESTERS $4400)
No issue of any keys will be given until the following items are submitted:
1. Both parent/guardians must sign agreement (Copy of Drivers Lic. & SS)
2. Executed Check to be written to College Point LLC – J. Lester (If PELL Grant Student a check must still be given and once PELL Grant monies are paid to Dorm the check will be given back in exchange for the funds. NO EXCEPTIONS.
3. If Pell Grants Funds are not issued to Dorm on the day of issuance the above, check will be deposited. If deposit is returned as insufficient funds the student will be immediately expelled from the Dorm property and forfeits the deposit. NO EXCEPTIONS
A bad check refers to a check that cannot be negotiated because it is drawn on a nonexistent account or has insufficient funds. Writing a bad check, also known as a hot check, is illegal.
In some cases, not all, a promissory note may be required.
